We show that enhanced fluorescence decay rates in microdroplets due to weak coupling to Mie resonances should not follow an inverse radiuis dependence, 1/a, as has been assumed in several publications, but should contain both 1/a and (1/a)2 components. The correspondence with experiment is very good.
